Commtouch Content Filter

Another new addition to the malware protection

solution which comes with the new  rmware

version is the Commtouch Content Filtering

service. This new service is an alternative solution

to the existing solution from Bluecoat. The new

content  lter service from Commtouch has a lower

pricing and o ers various applications:

Security – enables real-time protection from

emerging Web threats including malware,

phishing and Zombies/bots

•

HR compliance/regulation – prevents browsing

to questionable content like pornography and

hate sites

•

Productivity – blocks or monitors sites to

maximize employee productivity

•

Bandwidth regulation – identi es sites that

consume an organization’s bandwidth

(e.g. movies, music)

•

Parental control – restricts access to

inappropriate Web sites

Available as E-iCARDS

The Commtouch Content Filter solution is available

as an E-iCARDS for all ZyWALL USG  rewall

appliances in a 1-Yr and a 2-Yr version. ZyXEL

o ers a 30-day CF trial along with the v3.0, even

when you have our current Bluecoat content  lter

activated. For customers already using the Bluecoat

Content Filter service it is possible to activate both

options at the same time and switch from one to

the another and vice versa however only ONE CF

engine is in-use at any given time.

As you have come to expect from ZyXEL the

 rmware is available free of charge on our ZyXEL

Homepage as of March. The new service licenses

will also be available with the launch of the new

 rmware and can also be ordered from March on.
