TERM TYPE DESCRIPTION

VLAN Type Permanent VLAN This is a static VLAN created manually.

Dynamic VLAN This is a VLAN configured by a GVRP

registration/deregistration process.

VLAN Administrative

Control

Registration Fixed Fixed registration ports are permanent VLAN members.

Registration Forbidden Ports with registration forbidden are not allowed to register

(join) this VLAN.

Normal Registration Ports join a VLAN using GVRP.

VLAN Tag Control Tagged Ports tag all (VLAN member) egress frames transmitted.

Untagged Ports don’t tag all (VLAN member) egress frames transmitted.

VLAN Port Port VID This is the VLAN ID assigned to untagged frames that this port

receives.

Acceptable frame type Whether tagged only or both untagged frames are accepted

on this port.

Ingress filtering If set, the device discards incoming frames for VLANs which

do not include this port in its member set.

6.7 Port Setup Screen

Click Port Setup in the navigation panel to open the Port Setup screen.
